The compact 8+1 fader desktop form factor makes it well suited to fixed AV installs, broadcast control rooms, conference suites, and studio applications where rack space and surface area are at a premium. Unlike larger-format consoles, the Qu-3D is designed to sit on a desktop at a working angle, putting hands-on control within reach without occupying a full FOH position.

The built-in 16x16 48/96kHz Dante port distinguishes the Qu-3D from the standard Qu-3, enabling direct interoperability with Dante-enabled stagebox expanders, amplifiers, processors, and recording systems over standard network infrastructure. The 128x128 SLink port adds further I/O expansion headroom for larger system configurations. Six onboard FX engines, automatic mic mixing for up to 32 channels, Gain Assistant, and Feedback Assistant reduce setup time in fast-turnaround environments. A 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, motorized faders, and six customizable channel strip layers give operators fast access to the full mix without mode-diving.

For recording and redundancy, the Qu-3D supports 32x32 multichannel capture via USB-C audio interface and SD card recording up to 32x32 at 48kHz or 16x16 at 96kHz. Remote control through free Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android apps extends flexibility for single-operator or remote-monitoring scenarios. Optional DEEP processing and RackExtra FX add-ons allow the system to grow with project requirements, and 19-inch rack mounting is available via an optional kit.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7382/4696/files/209305_Allen-_-Heath-AH-QU-3D-32-Channel-Digital-Mixer-With-Dante-_-96kHz_ALT01sqr.jpg?v=1790699289
allen-heath-ah-qu-3-desktop-digital-mixer
Allen & Heath Qu-3 Desktop Digital Mixer

The Allen & Heath Qu-3 is a professional-grade digital mixer built around the same 96kHz XCVI processing core found in the larger Qu series, packaged into an 8+1 fader desktop form factor designed for space-constrained installs. It is aimed at AV integrators, broadcast engineers, and studio operators who need full-featured digital mixing without a full-size console footprint. The compact chassis and adjustable screen angle make it purpose-built for podium, rack, or desktop deployment in conference rooms, broadcast suites, and AV presentation environments.

With 36 inputs to mix, 12 mix buses, motorized faders, six customizable channel strip layers, and eight DCAs, the Qu-3 delivers operational depth well beyond its size. The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen provides direct access to processing without a laptop, while Automatic Mic Mixing, Gain Assistant, and Feedback Assistant reduce setup time in speech-reinforcement and conferencing scenarios. A 128x128 SLink expansion port enables I/O growth as systems scale. The Qu-3D variant adds a built-in 16x16 Dante port for networked AV and broadcast workflows where interoperability with other Dante-enabled devices is required.

Recording and playback flexibility sets this mixer apart from similarly priced alternatives. Engineers can capture multitrack audio via USB-C audio interface at 32x32, record to SD card at up to 96kHz, or use the USB-A port for stereo record and data transfer. Optional DEEP processing and RackExtra FX add-ons extend the platform further without requiring outboard gear, making the Qu-3 a self-contained solution for demanding compact installs.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7382/4696/files/209304_Allen-_-Heath-AH-QU-3-Desktop-Digital-Mixer-With-96kHz-FPGA-Core_ALT01sqr.jpg?v=1790699293
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7382/4696/collections/A_H_QU-3_Release_Campaign-1-BRAND_Page.png?v=1793737293
