audio-technica-bp880r
Audio-Technica BP880R Waterproof Contact Microphone For Sports

Sports broadcasters, film sound teams, and theater audio crews reach for the BP880R when a conventional microphone would only add ambient noise. Because it responds to impacts and surface vibrations rather than airborne sound, it isolates the physical sound of skaters, skiers, and swimmers, giving mixers a clean effects source to blend under commentary and program audio.

The piezoelectric sensor and internal preamplifier run on phantom power, so the mic connects to the preamps and consoles already in a broadcast truck, OB van, or film sound cart. Its low-impedance output tolerates extension with balanced cable, which helps when the mic sits far from the mix position. That suits temporary event rigs as well as permanent venue installs.

The low-profile brass body is treated against chlorinated water, so the mic can be buried, set into flooring, or fixed to gear in the field of play. On a foley stage it captures surface detail for film and video projects. For productions that need to stand apart, it adds an immersive layer that standard microphone placement cannot reach.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7382/4696/files/212606_Audio-Technica-BP880R-Waterproof-Contact-Microphone-For-Sports_ALT01sqr.jpg?v=1792524134
