When a pattern needs to be re-hung, replaced, or swapped between shows, the holder is the part that determines whether the gobo seats correctly in the gate, so matching it to the fixture matters more than most accessory choices.

City Theatrical offers glass gobo holders in many sizes and shapes, and the combinations are easy to confuse. This one is listed in the manufacturer's chart as the Strand Old Style size. Confirm that your pattern diameter and fixture match before ordering, and call City Theatrical if you need guidance sorting out the right holder.

Compared with generic or mismatched holders, a purpose-sized option avoids improvised fits in the gate. It suits rental shops stocking spares, touring rigs carrying backups, and house electricians keeping repertory plots running. Because one holder takes both pattern materials, spares inventory stays simpler across glass and metal gobos.
