city-theatrical-2410
City Theatrical 6" Ellipsoidal Color Extender | Standard

Incandescent theatrical fixtures run hot, and color media is a recurring expense on every show. This family of color extenders is built for lighting designers, production electricians, and venue technicians who replace burned or faded gel too often. By relocating the gel away from the heat source, an extender protects the color you hung and cuts the labor of re-cutting and re-hanging frames between focus calls and performances.

The range is sized for 6" ellipsoidal fixtures and comes in short and standard depths, so you can match the spacing to your rig and decide how far the gel sits from the fixture. That makes it more adaptable than a single fixed spacer, and it fits rental inventory, touring packages, and permanent theater installs where gel costs add up across dozens of units. Rugged metal construction suits the daily handling of load-in, focus, and strike.

One caution from the manufacturer: do not use any accessory in 70 degree or 90 degree lens tubes, because extreme light loss will occur. Confirm your lens tube angle before ordering.
