lectrosonics-m152sm5p
Lectrosonics M152/SM5P Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic With TA5F Connector

The Lectrosonics M152/SM5P is built for professionals who need a lavalier microphone that disappears sonically and physically. Its heavily suppressed mechanical noise floor makes it viable for critical capture environments like broadcast news, theatrical micing, and documentary production, where handling noise from clothing or movement would otherwise degrade the recording. The TA5F 2-wire termination interfaces directly with Lectrosonics body pack transmitters, keeping the signal chain fully within a proven ecosystem without adapters or modification.

The capsule delivers a wide, flat frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a gentle 2 to 3 dB lift in the upper octaves that adds presence and intelligibility to speech without coloring the sound artificially. Placement on the center of the chest, as high as practical, is recommended for optimal results. In windy outdoor environments or under-clothing concealment scenarios common to ENG and field production, the capsule can be hidden beneath a collar or thin fabric layer while still maintaining functional output. The low current draw of 30uA at 1.3V and standard 2V operating voltage ensure compatibility with a wide range of body pack transmitters beyond the Lectrosonics family.

For production teams, integrators, and engineers who demand consistency across takes and scenes, the M152/SM5P offers the kind of reliable, low-profile performance that more generic lavalier options cannot match. Its high signal-to-noise ratio supports clean capture even at low gain staging, reducing noise floor buildup in multi-mic broadcast or theatrical mixing environments.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7382/4696/files/11314_Lectrosonics-M152_SM5P-Omnidirectional-Lavalier-Mic-With-TA5F-Connector_ALT01sqr.jpg?v=1791492279
