lectrosonics-mtcr
Lectrosonics MTCR Compact Digital Recorder With Lavaliere Mic

The Lectrosonics MTCR is built for location sound recordists, ENG crews, and narrative film production teams who need a discreet, professional-grade recorder that travels with the talent. When wireless transmission is not practical due to distance, RF congestion, or set restrictions, the MTCR captures 24-bit Broadcast Wave Format audio directly to microSDHC media and syncs to a SMPTE 12M timecode source, making post-production alignment straightforward inside any major DAW or NLE.

Its machined aluminum billet housing keeps the unit rigid and field-durable without adding bulk. The TA5M input jack accepts mic and line level signals and supplies servo bias voltage for 2V and 4V electret lavaliere microphones, including microphones already wired for Lectrosonics wireless transmitters. That wiring compatibility simplifies kit consolidation for production sound mixers who run Lectrosonics wireless systems alongside the MTCR as a backup or plant recorder.

Where similarly priced compact recorders use plastic enclosures or proprietary connectors, the MTCR delivers the connector ecosystem and build standards associated with professional wireless infrastructure. The recorder operates over six hours on a single AAA lithium battery, a meaningful advantage during long production days where charging infrastructure is unavailable. Split gain mode provides simultaneous dual-level recording, adding a safety net against clipping on unpredictable dialogue sources.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7382/4696/files/91643_Lectrosonics-MTCR-Compact-Digital-Recorder-With-Lavaliere-Mic_ALT01sqr.jpg?v=1791492604
