Keep your hands free and your voice heard. The CM311 Mini XLR from AKG is a reference head-worn condenser microphone that delivers the same audio quality as the best handheld options on the market, with full, clear, and distortion-free sound. This microphone is available in Mini XLR (pictured), XLR, and TA4F options (XLR and TA4F not pictured).

Specifically designed for touring and live-sound applications, the CM311 is perfect for singers who want an increased ability to move around onstage, while the microphone itself is built to handle even the loudest vocals. This mic is also ideal for public speaking environments including lecture halls, classrooms, business conferences, live broadcasts, theaters, and houses of worship. In addition, active instructors (such as fitness trainers or how-to seminar teachers) can enjoy hands-free movement with confidence.

Compact, lightweight, and flexible, headworn microphones are designed specifically for versatility, and portability, and for delivering accurate sound without distracting your audience. The CM311 boasts a heavy-duty headband construction that can stand up to rigorous wear and tear—all while allowing for maximum comfort over long sessions of use.

Don’t be fooled by its small size: the CM311 is built to deliver high-quality audio for high-demand professional applications. The mic has a differential cardioid (Differoid) polar pattern, which cancels ambient noise from floor monitors, crowds, and other sources. AKG’s controlled field tests show that the Differoid provides up to 12dB more gain before feedback than other cardioid mics, with nearly complete isolation. The mic’s condenser capsule includes a built-in shock mount that further enhances the rejection of mechanical or handling noise.

Included in the box with the CM311 are a carry case for safe storage and secure transport, a foam pop filter to help prevent plosives, breath, and wind noise from being picked up by the mic, and a clothing clip for securing the microphone cable to your clothing so it doesn’t get tangled or caught.

Versatility is a cornerstone of every headworn microphone, making the possible applications limitless. They’re ideal for public speaking environments including lecture halls, classrooms, business conferences, live broadcasts, and houses of worship. Singers and actors can enjoy freedom of movement on the stage. Instructors in active environments (think fitness trainers or presenters at how-to seminars) can clearly convey information while keeping their hands free for demonstrations. Because most headworn mics are designed with the mics placed at the end of repositionable cables, you can adjust the mic placement to exactly capture the sound you want.
