With a 100° angle of acceptance, this polar pattern makes the microphones more sensitive to sound directly in front of them. This further controls feedback and reduces pickup of unwanted ambient sounds. Frequency response of these moving coil dynamic mics is between 30 Hz and 12,000 Hz. Microphone output is a 3-pin XLRM-type connector.

Miking percussion instruments requires a low-profile sound solution. The ATM230 is small and lightweight enough to be placed in many locations around a drum kit with the included drum mounts and stand clamps.
