Perfect for stage or studio, this selection of dynamic drum microphones features exclusive Audix VLMTM capsule technology offering accurate sound reproduction in very high SPL applications.
Individual snare and kick microphones complete the essential punch needed for a good drum mix. Being high SPL dynamic microphones, the D6 and i5 excel at “close miking”. This miking technique is required in order to capture the attack and percussive sound of the drum. Also, by having the mic close to the source of the sound, it helps to isolate and control the sound of each drum. With two correctly positioned overhead mics capture the transients, tonality and balance of the kit in a completely phase-coherent manner.
The D6 DYNAMIC INSTRUMENT MICROPHONE is an excellent choice for miking instruments requiring extended low-frequency reproduction such as kick drums, large toms, and bass cabinets in stage, studio and broadcast applications.. The D6’s transformerless design, low impedance, and balanced output allow for interference-free performance. The D6 intrument microphone has a tailored frequency response of 30 Hz - 15 kHz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels in excess of 144 dB.
