Audix revolutionized drum and percussion miking by designing instrument specific microphones. With the introduction of the Fusion Series, Audix created two attractively priced packages for todays up and coming professionals.

The FP5 Drum Pack contains a combination of f2, f5 and f6 dynamic microphones. The f5 is tuned for snare drum and can be used as well for bongos, timbales, guitar cabinets and acoustic instruments; the f2 is ideally suited for rack and floor toms, congas, djembe, bongos, timbales, brass and woodwind instruments. The f6 dynamic microphone, with its extended bass response, is designed for kick drum, bass cabinets, cajon and other low frequency instruments.

Built to withstand the rigors of live stage applications, the Fusion Series mics are also excellent for rehearsal, school, House of Worship and a wide variety of home recording applications.

The high-performing f2 RACK AND FLOOR TOM MICROPHONE is best used for miking instruments requiring mid-bass and mid-high reproduction in live and studio applications. Its LM™ (Low Mass) diaphragm with hypercardioid pick-up pattern minimizes feedback and isolates the instrument from ambient sound coming from the room or other instruments on stage for natural, accurate sound reproduction.

Transformerless design, low impedance and balanced output allow for interference-free performance even with long cable runs. The f2 features a wide frequency response of 52 Hz -15 kHz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels of 139 dB. Compact, durable, and easy to position, the f2 features a precision cast zinc alloy body, dent-resistant steel mesh grill and gold plated XLR connector.

The f5 SNARE MICROPHONE is an ideal choice for live and studio applications. A hypercardioid pick-up pattern helps to minimize feedback and isolate the instrument from ambient sound and is equipped with a LM™(Low Mass) diaphragm for natural, accurate sound reproduction.

The f5's low impedance and balanced output allow interference-free performance. With a wide frequency response of 55 Hz – 15 kHz, the f5 microphone provides clear, accurate, natural sound reproduction without having to rely on EQ. The f5 is able to handle sound pressure levels in excess of 137 dB without distortion. Sturdy, compact and easy to position, the f5 instrument microphone is manufactured with a precision cast zinc alloy body, dent-resistant steel mesh grill, durable black E-coat finish and gold plated XLR connector.

The f6 KICK DRUM MICROPHONE is designed for instruments requiring bass reproduction in live and studio applications. Its hypercardioid pick-up pattern helps to minimize feedback and isolate the instrument from ambient sounds on stage. This mic is equipped with a LM™Type A (Low Mass) diaphragm for natural, accurate sound reproduction. Low impedance and balanced output provide interference-free performance even with long cable runs. With a wide frequency response of 40 Hz - 16 kHz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels of 140 dB, the f6 is an excellent choice for miking instruments requiring extended low frequency reproduction such as kick drum, large toms and bass cabinets. Compact and easy to position, the f6 is manufactured with a precision cast zinc alloy body, durable black E-coat finish, dent resistant steel mesh grill, and gold plated XLR connector.
