Control

Control common operations using quick-action buttons to access the system menu, downstream key on/off, transition type, picture-in-picture, effects on/off, and more. Other controls include tactile audio volume knobs, signal/peak lights, and unity gain markers. Assign 2 independent HDMI outputs to display one of 3 video busses for the versatility you need for a professional project. The V-1HD+STR includes PGM and PST busses and a transition/fade bar.

Turn your iPad into a remote control using the V-1HD+STR remote control app to make essential switches, mix audio, or change settings and effect parameters. You can also create up to 8 custom scenes for fast, efficient setup changes mid-performance.

Connect

Connect the V-1HD+STR to your AV setup easily, plugging in professional mics and other gear to easily get started. Mix a variety of sources with 4 HDMI inputs with frame rate conversion. Use 2 XLR mic inputs for handheld mics, or the 1/8” input for a lavalier mic. The stereo audio source lets you connect a smartphone, while there’s an additional stereo input on RCA jacks and embedded stereo audio from the 4 HDMI inputs can be used to feed recorders and live streams. Take advantage of 2 balanced ¼” TRS outputs to distribute analog sound to a PA system.

For each of its audio inputs, the V-1HD+STR features a 3-band EQ, high-pass filter, compressor, noise gate, and sync delay. The XLR and 1/8” inputs also boast de-essers to clean up vocals in real-time. Main outputs include a limiter, 3-band EQ, and compressor for a broadcast-quality result every time.

Customize

The V-1HD+STR is rounded out by professional-caliber onboard tools such as its 14-channel digital audio mixer that blends HDMI audio with mic and line sources, as well as a suite of effects. It also includes real-time monitoring tools that streamline your productions. This video switcher’s DSK (downstream keyer) layer lets you independently composite a picture-in-picture (PinP) window on a video feed. A camera tally light directs the on-air performers toward the active camera and notifies everyone when the camera is “on-air.” Apply a 10-window multi-viewer display to one or both HDMI outputs to manage productions in real-time. For presentation conclusions, meeting breaks, background graphics, or unexpected power-downs on your camera, you can call up one of 4 still images stored on the V-1HD+STR, or capture stills from a connected input source. Its Four-Layer Effects Engine makes it simple to add lower-third titles, logos, social media comments, and more.
