More about Yamaha’s PX Power Amplifiers
Low noise, reliable protection, and outstanding sound make the PX Series from Yamaha the ideal power amplifiers for sound reinforcement and installations. These power amps deliver maximum output power to speakers, while their intelligent processing functionality protects the signal quality.
Set up your sound effortlessly, without the need for outboard gear. PX offers flexible onboard crossover, filters, delay, limiter and PEQ (fixed preset) functions. Amp Mode lets you easily configure the system by selecting the input and output routing of up to 15 pattern types. Choose from two setup modes depending on your application’s needs or your operator’s experience level: Basic is great for novices, while Advanced is ideal for users who want precise control over every part of their sound. Eight programmable presets allow instant recall that can be saved to a USB thumb drive and shared with other PX units. Save even more setup time with PX’s built-in Config Wizard. Select the appropriate filter and crossover for each speaker, and this tool will automatically optimize speaker settings that match your configuration. Config Wizard also features presets for each of Yamaha’s passive speaker series (such as CBR, Club, Installation, and VXS/VXC series). An advanced mode allows more detailed configuration of parameters such as input routing, input sensitivity, amp gain, and speaker impedance.
The PX Series boasts a Class-D amplifier engine that features a single-chip architecture that concentrates all the necessary functions into a single custom LSI chip. The engine’s PLL technology controls transfer characteristics in real time. Yamaha’s intelligent D-CONTOUR multi-band dynamic processing enables consistent clarity and high-quality sound for either front-of-house or monitor configurations.
