Great for gigging keyboardists, Yamaha’s YC61 boasts VCM technology, physical drawbars for organ sounds, control over multiple included sounds, and much more.
Created for gigging keyboardists, Yamaha’s YC Series is known for its virtual circuitry modeling (VCM) technology, physical drawbars for organ sounds, and extensive control over the many included sounds. At just 15 pounds the YC61 is a truly portable keyboard perfect for the organ-focused keyboardist.
Operating from 3 sound source systems – VCM organ sound source, FM organ sound source, and AWM2 sound source – the YC61 excels in organ style. Yamaha’s proprietary VCM technology imitates circuitry in vintage analog EQs, compressors and phasers to create that retro feel and capture subtleties beyond other digital simulations. VCM organ and FM organ are both included each with different sounds and styles to choose from. FM organ uses the keyboard drawbars to control 8 FM operators sending pure sound and massive low end. Nine drawbars have the footages and ratcheting expected in an organ and are see-through with customizable LED light easily indicating changes. Further personalize the organ tone with adjustments to key click, leakage, rotary speaker speed and more.
Premium keyboard sound has lots of possibilities with sounds from authentic grand/upright pianos, electric pianos and keyboards to a tonewheel organ with rotary speaker, synths, acoustic sounds and more. Adjust these sounds to your preference with the different effects and modes in the synth.
Ideal for gigging keyboardists focused on organ sounds, the YC61 keys follow the action of traditional organ keyboards with waterfall action. This not only creates the distinctive touch of an organ, but gives artists new avenues of expression with different sounds. Live set function lets you register sounds you program so they can be immediately recalled at the touch of a button. YC61’s portable weight makes it easy to take on the road, but it can also handle the minor damages often associated with road use.
