Frequently Asked Questions

  • What audio quality and RF performance does the SLX-D+ deliver?

SLX-D+ transmits transparent 24-bit digital audio with over 118 dB of dynamic range, and offers a 138 MHz wide-tuning range so you can run up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 in 8 MHz bands without interference issues.

  • How secure is the audio transmission?

Every SLX-D+ component ships with AES-256 encryption installed by default, so audio is protected without any extra setup.

  • How does SLX-D+ stay connected and avoid dropouts?

Once a transmitter and receiver are linked, SLX-D+'s Automatic Setup keeps them connected even through RF interference, and a built-in Digital Feedback Reducer automatically cuts unwanted feedback if it occurs.

  • How long does the battery last, and what powers the transmitter?

Bodypack transmitters run up to 8 hours on 2 included AA batteries, or you can use the optional Shure SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable battery with compatible charging accessories for repeated use.

  • Can I adjust or monitor the system remotely?

Yes, ShowLink Ease lets you remotely change transmitter frequency, adjust power output, and lock controls right from the linked receiver, while Shure's Wireless Workbench software (desktop) or WWB Mobile app (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) lets you monitor RF status and manage settings across the system.

  • What microphones and configurations are available?

SLX-D+ bodypack systems can pair with mics like the MX153T headworn, WL185m lavalier, WL93 omnidirectional lavalier, or SM35 headset, and SoundPro's Account Managers can help match the right configuration and get you a personalized quote.
