Pro Audio Equipment, Video & LightingSince 1972
SoundPro is a professional audio equipment, video, and lighting supplier based in Irving, Texas, shipping nationwide. We carry more than 500 authorized brands and over 80,000 products, from a single microphone clip to a complete line array, video wall, or networked audio system. Our customers are churches, K-12 districts and universities, AV contractors and integrators, live production companies, and businesses outfitting conference rooms.
SoundPro started in 1972 when founder Charles Kitch got a call from Elvis Presley's tour manager looking for backline gear for a Dallas show the next day. That one gig turned into a 30-day tour, and within a year SoundPro was supporting the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Billy Joel, and David Bowie. Fifty-four years later we have grown from backline rental into one of the industry's leading pro AVL retailers and distributors. Still in Texas, and still run by people who work in this industry.
Learn more about what we carry Show less
Getting a wireless microphone system right is less about which model you buy and more about picking a frequency band that stays legal and clear in five years, sizing the receiver count to your actual channel needs, and avoiding the intermodulation problems that only show up once everything is switched on at once. We carry the antenna distribution and RF coordination hardware for large channel counts from Shure, Sennheiser, Audio-Technica and Lectrosonics.
The camera is rarely the part that decides whether a stream looks professional. Lens reach for your room depth, control protocol, how many cameras one operator can realistically run, and getting clean audio into the encoder rather than off a camera microphone matter more. We supply PTZ cameras, production switchers, streaming encoders, converters and capture hardware for church services, classroom lecture capture, council meetings and corporate broadcast.
Whether you are reinforcing speech in a 200-seat sanctuary or mixing a festival main stage, the goal is matching the system to the room, not to a spec sheet. We carry digital mixing consoles, powered and passive loudspeakers, power amplifiers, in-ear and stage monitors, DSP and recording gear from Shure, Yamaha, QSC, Allen & Heath, JBL Professional and Sennheiser.
For meeting rooms, getting microphone coverage and gain structure right matters more than simply going louder, so we size ceiling microphone arrays, DSP, cameras and certified room kits from huddle rooms to boardrooms. For distributed audio elsewhere in the building, we carry ceiling and surface-mount speakers, 70V and 100V systems, multi-zone control and paging, intercom, and networked digital audio.
A church sound system has to do two things at once: carry the spoken word clearly to the back row, and handle a full band without turning the room to mush. Several of our Account Managers run audio at their own churches on Sunday, which is a different kind of qualification than a certificate, and it shows in how we spec digital consoles, wireless systems, in-ear monitoring and live streaming gear for sanctuaries.
LED wash and spot fixtures, moving heads, DMX consoles, dimmers, uplighting, atmospheric effects, truss and rigging from Chauvet, ETC, Martin and Elation.
We quote around district purchasing cycles and grant deadlines rather than against them, and can work backward from a bond timeline or a summer install window. That covers classroom audio, laser projectors, interactive displays, lecture capture, gymnasium and auditorium sound, and ADA-compliant assistive listening for K-12 districts and universities.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best wireless microphone system for a church?
Most churches run a mix of handheld microphones for pastors and guest speakers and lavalier or headworn systems for anyone who needs their hands free. The decisions that matter more than the model are channel count, frequency band, and antenna distribution. Once you are past roughly four channels you need proper RF coordination and a distribution system, not more standalone receivers sitting on a shelf. Tell your Account Manager how many simultaneous channels you need and how big the room is, and they will spec against that.
What is the best sound system for a church?
It depends on room size, worship style, and how many musicians you put on stage. Most churches land on a digital mixing console paired with either a line array or point-source speakers, plus wireless microphones and in-ear monitoring for the band. A 200-seat sanctuary and a 2,000-seat auditorium need genuinely different systems, so tell us your seat count, ceiling height and band size and we will spec against those rather than sell you a package.
What equipment do I need to live stream a service or event?
At minimum: a camera, a way to get clean audio out of your mixing console, and an encoder. Most churches and venues use PTZ cameras because one operator can run several remotely, then a production switcher once there is more than one camera, and a hardware or software encoder to reach YouTube, Facebook or a streaming platform. The most common mistake is taking audio from the camera microphone instead of a feed from the console, which is also the easiest thing to fix.
Where can I buy pro audio equipment?
SoundPro carries over 80,000 pro audio, video and lighting products from more than 500 authorized brands, shipping nationwide from Irving, Texas. In-stock items ship the same day when ordered by 4pm CST. Unlike a marketplace, every order goes through a Certified Account Manager who can tell you whether the thing you are about to buy will actually work in your room.
Is SoundPro an authorized reseller?
Yes, for every brand we carry, including a certified Shure dealership covering the full ecosystem: Microflex, IntelliMix and ULX-D wireless. Everything ships through authorized channels with full manufacturer warranty. If you are looking for an authorized Sennheiser, Electro-Voice, ETC, Martin, Yamaha or QSC reseller, that is us as well.
What audio visual equipment do schools need?
Most districts start with classroom audio so every student can hear the teacher, then add displays or laser projectors, lecture capture for hybrid learning, and ADA-compliant assistive listening. Auditoriums and gymnasiums need their own sound reinforcement and stage lighting. We quote around district purchasing cycles and grant timelines, including the current federal school safety grant program.
What equipment do I need for conference room audio?
For most rooms: a ceiling or table microphone array, a DSP to handle echo cancellation and mixing, a camera, and a display. Bigger rooms need more microphone coverage and careful gain structure rather than simply a louder speaker. We supply certified room kits sized by room dimensions, so you are not guessing at microphone count.
How do I get a quote for an AV project?
Send a bill of materials, a parts list, a project number or drawings, and a Certified Account Manager returns a line-by-line quote the same business day with substitutions, lead times and freight included. CSV and Excel uploads are supported. Project quotes over $5,000 qualify for volume pricing. You can also call 972-550-0001.
Do you offer dealer or contractor pricing?
Yes. Contractors, integrators and resellers can apply for dealer pricing online in about five minutes. Approved accounts get project-based pricing, a dedicated Account Manager, and help with system design and product selection.
