The ADJ LED DUMMY is purpose-built for lighting technicians and production electricians dealing with the persistent afterglow problem common to LED fixtures running through triac-based dimmer packs. When a dimmer cuts power, small traces of residual current continue to feed LEDs, producing a faint but visible glow that undermines scene blackouts and compromises productions that depend on clean, complete shutoffs. The LED DUMMY solves this by acting as a resistive load that absorbs that residual current before it reaches the fixture.
Installation requires no tools or special wiring — the unit uses a standard Edison socket and plug, making it compatible with virtually any dimmer pack in touring or installed entertainment environments. Its 2000-ohm impedance draws just enough current to satisfy the dimmer's minimum load threshold without meaningfully contributing to power consumption.
