The AJA OG-12G-AM-R0 is built for broadcast engineers and post-production facilities that need reliable, high-density audio embedding and disembedding in an openGear infrastructure. It fits standard openGear 2RU frames, including AJA's own OG-X-FR, and handles the full signal chain from SD through 4K/UltraHD at 12G-SDI rates without requiring external converters or breakout hardware.
On-air and live production teams benefit from per-channel-pair selectability: each pair can be independently set to pass embedded SDI audio, replace it with incoming AES/EBU, or strip it entirely. An onboard 1.5G-SDI internal signal generator keeps the embedder path active even when no SDI source is connected, which simplifies pre-show routing and maintenance windows. HDR pass-through means the card stays useful as facilities migrate to high dynamic range workflows without hardware swaps.
Where rackmount standalone embedders consume a full 1RU per function, this openGear card consolidates the job into a single slot, reducing frame real estate and cabling complexity. Ross DashBoard software running on Windows, macOS, or Linux provides centralized configuration and monitoring over a local network, making remote management practical in large broadcast facilities or outside broadcast trucks where direct physical access to frames is limited.
