The C417 is a miniature condenser clip-on microphone designed for professional projects such as live broadcasts, theatrical performances, or other on-stage or live sound applications. Its broadband, flat audio reproduction provides an open, natural result that’s great for vocals, speech, and instruments and integrates seamlessly into either wireless or hardwired multi-mic systems.

In addition to being a great mic for speech, the C417’s balanced sound characteristics make it equally ideal for achieving natural instrumental audio.
The C417 comes in two models which are differentiated by their connectors:
- The C417 PP features a standard XLR connector
- The C417 L provides a professional three-pin mini XLR connector compatible with bodypack transmitter models from all AKG wireless microphone systems
Included in the box with the AKG C417 microphone are a tie clip and tie pin for secure attachment and positioning, an external windscreen for reducing noise from breath or plosives, and a microphone bag to protect it from dust or other debris when not in use.
