The CHM99 is a hanging microphone module for permanent installation. Part of AKG’s 99ers Series, this overhead mic is ideal for recording music or speech and is a great addition to sound setups in houses of worship, corporate conference rooms, and theatrical stages. Compact and unobtrusive, the CHM99 is packed with features that will make it easy to achieve quality sound. Its cardioid polar pattern minimizes pickup from the sides and rear, so you’re able to capture the sound you want and none of the background, ambient, or other extraneous noises you don’t. The mic has a built-in phantom power adapter that can be connected to any standard mixer input that uses a 9V to 52V power supply. Its 33-foot (10m) cable is specially designed to be twist-free, allowing you to position the mic with confidence that it will stay securely in place. A spring steel hanging clamp is included, allowing fast and easy installation, precise microphone alignment, and further placement security.
