The Alfatron ALF-MUH44E-RX is an HDBaseT to HDMI extender receiver designed for AV integrators and production engineers who need a reliable endpoint for long-distance 4K video distribution. It accepts an HDBaseT signal over a single Cat 6 or Cat 7 cable and outputs HDMI to a monitor, projector, or display, handling resolutions up to 4K60 YUV 4:4:4 at runs up to 328 feet and 1080p at runs up to 492 feet. The receiver is purpose-built to pair with Alfatron matrix switchers and transmitters, making it a direct extension of installed routing systems rather than a standalone workaround.
For installed AV environments such as conference rooms, lecture halls, digital signage networks, and live production control rooms, the receiver simplifies signal delivery without requiring additional audio hardware at the display. The onboard 3.5mm analog output enables audio de-embedding directly at the receiver, useful when the destination display lacks the audio routing needed for a given application. HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 compliance ensures compatibility with protected 4K content sources, and HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG support preserves high dynamic range metadata end to end.
Power-over-cable support means the receiver can draw 24V from the transmitter over the HDBaseT link, reducing the need for a local power drop at the display location. Advanced EDID management and CEC control round out the feature set, giving integrators the tools to manage display handshakes and remote power functions across the full signal chain without additional control hardware.
