The Alfatron Electronics ALF-SC61E is designed for AV integrators and systems engineers who need to consolidate multiple signal types at the display endpoint without adding external scalers or audio extractors. It accepts six inputs spanning HDMI with MHL, USB-C, DisplayPort, and VGA, then scales any source to a single HDMI 2.0 output at up to 4Kx2K@60Hz 4:4:4 8-bit. That built-in auto scaling function eliminates resolution mismatches between legacy and modern sources, which is a recurring challenge in boardrooms, classrooms, and control rooms where device types vary widely.
Audio de-embedding is handled directly on the unit via a Toslink optical output and a balanced stereo analog output on a 5-pin terminal block, removing the need for a separate DA in most installed-sound workflows. Supported HDMI audio formats include LPCM 7.1, Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio pass-through, giving integrators full flexibility for both simple stereo and immersive audio destinations.
Control flexibility is a core strength of this unit. RS232, TCP/IP via RJ45, IR input, and CEC are all present simultaneously, so the switcher can be integrated into virtually any control system platform without protocol adapters. A front-panel DIP switch handles VGA resolution selection and EDID configuration locally, which reduces commissioning time on installs where rack access is limited. At 10W maximum power draw and a half-rack-width footprint, the ALF-SC61E fits cleanly into under-desk or rack-shelf installs where space is at a premium.
