The Alfatron Electronics ALF-SUK4GEN2 is a 1x4 HDMI 2.0 distribution amplifier designed for AV integrators, corporate install specialists, and production teams who need reliable 4K signal distribution without sacrificing audio flexibility. It accepts a single HDMI 2.0 source and drives four Type-A HDMI outputs at up to 4Kx2K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, making it suitable for multi-display conference rooms, digital signage arrays, broadcast monitoring walls, and house-of-worship installations where visual consistency across every screen is critical.
Where the ALF-SUK4GEN2 separates itself from basic splitters in its class is the onboard audio de-embedder. Extracted audio is simultaneously available on a balanced analog output, an optical output, and an RCA coaxial output, giving integrators the routing flexibility to feed a DSP, a recording system, or a room loudspeaker system without an additional breakout device. Smart EDID management via a 5-pin DIP switch lets the unit pass the display's native EDID or apply an internally stored EDID, eliminating source handshake failures that plague simpler splitters. Automatic downscaling from 4K to 1080p protects compatibility with legacy displays on mixed-specification installs.
HDCP 2.3 compliance with backwards compatibility to 2.2 and 1.4 ensures protected content passes cleanly across the distribution chain. The 18 Gbps bandwidth ceiling accommodates HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG alongside Deep Color at up to 12-bit in 4K. Field firmware updates over the micro-USB port mean the unit can be serviced in place without removal from a rack or wall mount, reducing maintenance overhead for ongoing managed installations.
