The ALF-USBC-EXT is designed for AV integrators and production teams who need to distribute high-resolution video from USB-C equipped laptops, workstations, or signal processors to remote displays without running long HDMI cable runs. By transmitting over standard CAT6, CAT6A, or CAT7 infrastructure already present in most venues and meeting rooms, it eliminates the cost and complexity of specialty long-run HDMI cabling.
At 4K resolution and 60Hz refresh, the extender covers the full HDMI 2.0 bandwidth ceiling of 18Gbps, making it suited for corporate AV installations, command centers, digital signage, and live production environments where pixel-accurate 4K delivery to a remote display is required. Support for HDR10, HDMI 3D, and audio formats including PCM, DTS, and Dolby ensures the signal chain is not reduced in any meaningful way over the extension.
The TX unit is bus-powered from the source, keeping the transmitter side cable-tidy in rack or table installs. EDID passthrough with auto downscaling protects against compatibility failures when the source and display EDID profiles do not match, a practical advantage during rental and staging deployments where display hardware changes frequently. The compact ABS housings fit easily behind panels, under desks, or on the back of displays without requiring additional mounting hardware.
