The Alfatron ALF-WP70T-RS is a wall plate HDBaseT transmitter designed for AV integrators and installed sound and video professionals who need a clean, low-profile solution for conference rooms, classrooms, and corporate presentation spaces. It accepts one HDMI 2.0b and one USB-C source, switches between them automatically or manually, and sends the selected signal over a single CAT6, CAT6a, or CAT7 cable to a compatible HDBaseT receiver. The transmitter fits a standard US one-gang Decora-style opening, keeping the install tidy and the back-of-wall cabling minimal.
For integrators specifying 4K systems, the HDMI input carries up to 18 Gbps of bandwidth with full HDCP 2.2 compliance, supporting resolutions through 4K60 4:4:4 and HDR. The USB-C input accommodates laptop users who need a single-cable connection, with 5.4 Gbps video bandwidth and a dedicated charging output. The HDBaseT link reaches 230ft at 1080p60 or 131ft at 4K60, making it practical for medium to large meeting spaces where source equipment sits at the presenter position and displays are ceiling- or wall-mounted at a distance.
Power over HDBaseT eliminates the need for a local power supply at the wall plate, since the transmitter draws power from the receiver over the same CAT cable. RS-232 pass-through supports third-party control systems for display and source management. The companion receiver, ALF-TPBK70-R, is sold separately and adds a local HDMI input, analog audio output, and its own RS-232 port, giving the integrator flexible signal routing at the display end. Where other wall plate transmitters require dedicated power drops at each faceplate location, the POE architecture here reduces installation cost and complexity.
