This expander opens up myriad output options, both analog and AES digital—all while packing that connectivity in a small, 1U build that’s easy to integrate into any size setup, both portable and permanent installation. The DX012 is the perfect expansion gear for any use where you need to add more outputs, ranging from feeding in-ear monitoring systems to amplifier racks.
For applications where you simply need more output connectivity, the DX012 delivers 12 additional XLR outputs that can be configured to fit your specific use:
- 12 analog line outputs
- 8 analog line outputs + 4 stereo AES outputs
- 4 analog line outputs + 8 stereo AES outputs
The DX012 is designed to provide remote output expansion and is compatible with Allen & Heath’s SQ, Avantis, and dLive series mixers, as well as for the AHM-64 audio matrix processor. Easily connect your DX012 with a single Cat5e cable to a dLive Surface, dLive MixRack, AHM-64 matrix processor, Avantis mixer, SQ mixer.
Alternatively, you can use one of the expander’s secure EtherCon ports to link an upstream DX expander. (All external gear sold separately.) The DX012 comes with a second locking EtherCon port: employ redundant connection to compatible hardware for increased security and reliability. You can also use Cascade daisy-chain to downstream up to 2 DX expanders on each port for even more remote I/O that gives you even more scope for your application.
