The AtlasIED AS-8T is a compact two-way surface mount loudspeaker built for foreground and background music systems where appearance, durability, and reliable coverage all matter. Its weather-resistant ABS enclosure with UV inhibitor and IP55 rating make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, while the understated black finish helps it fit architectural spaces with minimal visual impact.
This model combines an 8" weather-treated woofer with a 1" exit compression driver to deliver broad bandwidth and consistent off-axis performance. For distributed audio systems, the integrated low insertion loss transformer supports 70V and 100V operation with selectable taps, and a low-impedance bypass is available for direct 8 ohm use. Tap changes are handled by a rear slide selector with a security cover, giving integrators a practical way to configure zones without extra accessories.
The supplied slip-free yoke mount simplifies wall mounting, and the speaker also supports optional universal brackets and compatibility with third-party VESA mounts when additional aiming flexibility is needed. The AS-8T is also sonically matched within the AtlasIED AS Series, which helps maintain tonal consistency across multi-speaker deployments in hospitality, retail, education, and other commercial environments.
