The AtlasIED FAP63-TR is a new construction mudring designed for recessed ceiling speaker installations in drywall and plaster applications. It serves as a critical framing aid during rough-in phase, clearly marking the speaker cutout location so drywall crews can work around the reserved space before ceiling closure. This approach eliminates costly rework and ensures the speaker installs in the exact intended location during final assembly.
Built for standard residential and commercial framing practices, the ring accommodates both 16-inch and 24-inch on-center stud and joist mounting, making it compatible with typical North American construction layouts. The mudring is installed during rough-in, then removed once the speaker is mounted in place.
