The unit combines a treated paper cone driver with a factory-mounted 25V/70V transformer and screw-type grille on a 62-8 baffle, eliminating field assembly time and compatibility risk.
Suited for paging, background music, and general commercial audio in offices, retail, hospitality, and education, the FD72W mounts directly to standard tile bridges, enclosures, and plaster rings. Its conventional cone design and 1" voice coil deliver 97 dB peak sensitivity across a 100 Hz–10 kHz frequency response, ensuring clear speech intelligibility and consistent tonal balance throughout typical commercial listening spaces.
With selectable power taps at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 watts, integrators can configure multiple speakers on the same 25V or 70V line without additional transformers, simplifying system layout and reducing component count on retrofit and new-build projects.
