The AtlasIED IED1516LI is a network logic input device designed for integration with IED GLOBALCOM announcement control systems. It provides 16 optically isolated inputs for interfacing external equipment, including fire panels, security systems, and other contact or logic-based control sources. Logic inputs can be configured within GLOBALCOM System Management Center to trigger announcements, pre-recorded messages, events, or fault reports across the system.
The unit communicates over Ethernet and supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet for simplified deployment on networked systems. Where PoE is not available, the device also accepts an alternate 48VDC power source. Visual input status indication is provided by green LEDs above each input, and a separate power LED confirms operational status. Settings are stored in non-volatile memory to retain configuration data.
For applications requiring additional capacity, the IED1516LI can be expanded to 32 inputs with the optional 1516LI-E module. Configuration is handled through a web browser and GLOBALCOM System Management Center, making the unit suitable for installed paging, life-safety support interfaces, and facility-wide announcement control workflows.
