The AtlasIED IEDA524-H is a digital microphone station designed for audio and visual announcements, messages, and paging within GLOBALCOM and vACS Series announcement control systems. This 4-button station operates as a network appliance with its own IP address, helping simplify deployment and system configuration in managed communication environments. A single Ethernet connection carries audio and control data, reducing cabling complexity for installed systems.
Built for LAN-based paging infrastructure, the IEDA524-H supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet so it can be powered from a standard PoE switch. Its onboard 32-bit processor manages button inputs, Ethernet communication, audio signal processing, and self-test diagnostics. The station is intended for use on standard 100 Mbps Ethernet networks with CAT5e or better cabling, making it suitable for facilities that rely on structured network infrastructure for announcements and paging control.
The four front-panel selection buttons can be configured in IED Enterprise or vACS Console software as one-touch actions for announcement and message workflows. The handheld microphone includes a push-to-talk button for live paging. The unit utilizes CobraNet technology for live network audio transport and is designed for full duplex 100 Mbps Ethernet auto-negotiation environments.
