The AtlasIED 195-89 is a purpose-built recessed enclosure designed for permanent installation of the 840-812A clock/speaker baffle in commercial and institutional environments. It is the correct choice for integrators who require a clean, flush-mounted finish in new construction or retrofit applications where surface-mount boxes are not acceptable.
Fabricated from 20-gauge cold-rolled steel and finished with an epoxy coating, the enclosure is heavily undercoated to damp mechanical resonances that can degrade audio intelligibility in paging and background music systems. An internal compartment divider physically isolates high-voltage and low-voltage wiring runs, satisfying code-compliance requirements common in education, healthcare, and corporate install projects.
Twelve conduit knockouts — four each on the top and bottom panels, two at each end — give installers multiple cable entry options without field modification, accelerating rough-in and final trim on large multi-room deployments. The 60-month warranty reflects the long service-life expectations typical of permanent installed audio infrastructure.
