The AtlasIED AP-15TU is engineered for system integrators and life-safety installers who need a compliant, high-intelligibility horn speaker for distributed 25V or 70.7V audio systems. The compression driver delivers broad 70-degree dispersion across a 400Hz–14kHz frequency range, making it well-suited for paging, intercommunication, and fire alarm signaling in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, schools, transit hubs, and outdoor installations where voice clarity is critical.
The built-in Vari-Tap transformer eliminates the need for an external matching transformer, with a screwdriver-adjustable 7-position watt/impedance selection switch that simplifies system design and tap configuration on the job site. Weather-resistant metal construction and a re-entrant acoustic path protect the driver from water, humidity, vermin, and corrosion, making this unit appropriate for semi-exposed or harsh indoor environments. The vandal-resistant adapter cover shields wiring terminals from tampering, and the Omni-Purpose mounting bracket supports both vertical and horizontal positioning as well as surface or strap mounting to pillars and I-beams.
This model meets UL Standard 1480 for Speakers for Fire Protective Signaling Systems and complies with California State Fire Marshal Title 19 requirements, making it a direct fit for code-compliant life-safety installations. Note that the AP-15TU does not include a capacitor; the optional 5 MFD capacitor for line supervision is available separately.
