The AtlasIED AP-S158IP is built for AV system integrators and IT-managed install environments where reliable, remotely supervised AC power distribution is critical. Designed for vertical mounting in floor-standing equipment racks, it provides eight rear-panel programmable switched outlets plus one front unswitched convenience outlet, giving technicians both scheduled automation and hands-on access without disrupting the managed circuit. The included AP-LEDIP display panel delivers at-a-glance readout of voltage, current, temperature, humidity, and IP address directly at the rack face — eliminating the need for discovery software during commissioning.
Where the AP-S158IP earns its place over basic rack strips is in its depth of remote management. Each outlet carries a user-definable name, independent on/off scheduling across a 24/7 calendar, programmable delay and sequencing, and Auto Ping Reset (APRST) to automatically recover unresponsive networked devices without a truck roll. Alarm thresholds for over-voltage, over-current, temperature, and humidity feed a fault log with GPIO reporting, giving NOC teams and remote support staff the data they need before conditions escalate to equipment damage.
RFI noise filtering addresses a common pain point in mixed AV and wireless environments where nearby transmitters introduce interference into AC lines that surfaces as video degradation or audio static. A removable 2m IEC power cord with retainer bracket allows installers to select the appropriate cord length at the time of installation rather than working around a fixed cable. The AP-S158IP is UL-listed and suited for touring racks, installed AV systems, broadcast infrastructure, and any production environment requiring auditable, network-managed power control.
