The AtlasIED APF-15TUC is engineered for AV integrators and life-safety system designers who need a reliable, code-compliant horn speaker for paging, intercommunication, and fire protective signaling in demanding environments. Its all-metal, environment-resistant enclosure handles humidity, vermin, physical abuse, and corrosion, making it equally suited for interior corridors, exterior walls, ceilings, and industrial spaces where durability is non-negotiable.
The built-in 25/70.7V Vari-Tap transformer features a screwdriver-adjustable 7-position watt and impedance selection switch, giving installers precise control over distributed audio system taps without additional hardware. The 5 mfd capacitor integrated into the APF-15TUC enables line supervision capability — a critical differentiator over the non-supervised APF-15TU sibling — allowing the system to monitor circuit continuity as required by fire alarm standards. The self-aligning, field-replaceable diaphragm reduces service downtime in installed systems.
Recessed or flush mounting into interior and exterior walls or ceilings is supported via a 5.5-inch deep opening, and the unit accepts AtlasIED L20 Series grilles, enclosures, and mounting rings, as well as MK-2 or FAMT-6 accessory kits for 8-inch diameter baffles. California State Fire Marshal listed and UL 1480 certified, the APF-15TUC satisfies stringent compliance requirements for fire protective speaker installations across commercial, institutional, and public assembly facilities.
