The AtlasIED Deluxe Priority attenuator is engineered for integrators and systems designers working in commercial installed audio environments where distributed speaker systems operate at 25V or 70.7V. It fits directly into standard 1-gang electrical boxes, making it a clean solution for conference rooms, retail environments, houses of worship, and any multi-zone installation where per-zone volume control is required at the listener level.
The auto transformer design delivers excellent frequency response and low insertion loss, preserving audio integrity across the attenuation range. Ten make-before-break switching steps plus a positive off position allow smooth, silent level adjustment without signal dropout, and silver-plated contacts ensure noise-free operation over the life of the installation. The removable terminal block simplifies field wiring and future serviceability.
The built-in priority relay is the key differentiator for installations where paging or emergency announcements must be heard regardless of local volume settings. When triggered by 24VDC at 10mA, the SPDT relay bypasses the attenuator entirely, ensuring that priority audio reaches the zone at full system level. This eliminates the need for separate priority override hardware and keeps the signal path straightforward for the integrator.
