The AtlasIED AZMP8-D is engineered for commercial audio integrators who need centralized, scalable control over multi-zone sound systems in environments such as corporate campuses, retail spaces, houses of worship, hospitality venues, and educational facilities. As the processing core of the Atmosphere platform, it consolidates amplification, DSP, paging, scheduling, and network audio distribution into a single rack-mountable unit — eliminating the need for separate signal processors and power amplifiers.
Amplifier power sharing technology sets the AZMP8-D apart from conventionally rated multi-zone amplifiers. Rather than fixing wattage per channel, the system allows each output to be software-assigned anywhere within a wide range, allocating available headroom where it is actually needed. Dante networking, built on the Brooklyn 3 card, enables seamless integration with existing Dante-enabled infrastructure for audio distribution across a facility network. The onboard web interface, built on Progressive Web App technology, is device-agnostic and accessible via Ethernet or the unit's built-in Wi-Fi — making commissioning and adjustments possible from any tablet or laptop without dedicated software.
For integrators working with third-party control systems, the AZMP8-D supports RTI, Crestron, Extron, and AMX control modules. The four accessory ports accommodate up to 16 plug-and-play Atmosphere wall plate accessories — including controllers, ambient noise sensors, and paging stations — each reliable at cable runs up to 1,000 feet, giving designers flexibility in large or distributed installations.
