AtlasIED BMT95-8 Blind-Mount Ceiling Enclosure 8" 5" Deep

The AtlasIED BMT95-8 is engineered for installed audio integrators tackling retrofit ceiling speaker projects where above-ceiling access is limited or unavailable. The patented blind-mount system (U.S. Patent #4,673,149) eliminates the need for a second installer above the ceiling, reducing labor time and complexity in commercial installs across conference rooms, hospitality spaces, retail environments, and houses of worship.

The enclosure ships complete with all required hardware, including telescoping mounting ears that extend from inside the unit and adjust vertically to fit a range of ceiling thicknesses — making it compatible with a wide variety of standard drywall and tile ceiling constructions. Cold-rolled steel construction keeps the enclosure rigid and acoustically inert, while factory-applied sound damping material suppresses metallic resonance that would otherwise color the speaker output in critical listening environments.

Three half-inch conduit knockouts on the backplate allow clean, code-compliant cable routing. The unit supports both torsion-spring and surface-mount grille attachment methods, and J-nuts are included on the enclosure return for surface-mount applications. Compatible with a broad range of AtlasIED 8-inch baffles, this enclosure is a purpose-built solution for integrators who need a reliable, hardware-complete ceiling housing without field fabrication.
