The AtlasIED BMT95-8-7 is engineered for AV integrators tackling retrofit ceiling speaker installations where accessible above-ceiling space is limited or unavailable. The blind-mount design eliminates the need for above-ceiling access, making it a practical solution for occupied commercial spaces, schools, houses of worship, and hospitality environments where ceiling penetration must be fast, clean, and structurally sound.
The extra-depth 7-inch cavity provides increased internal volume compared to standard shallow enclosures, translating directly into extended low-frequency output for installed 8-inch loudspeaker drivers. The enclosure ships with all hardware needed for a complete install, including a patented telescoping ear support system that adjusts vertically to grip ceiling material ranging from thin drywall to thicker plaster assemblies without additional tools or custom fabrication.
CRS construction with integrated sound-damping material minimizes metallic resonance that can color the acoustic output of installed speakers in acoustically sensitive spaces. Three half-inch conduit knockouts on the backplate provide organized cable access, and included J-Nuts accommodate surface-mounting grilles alongside the torsion-spring receptacles.
