The AtlasIED DA-22SYS is built for commercial AV integrators deploying networked distributed audio in drop-ceiling environments. Dropping into a standard 2'x2' ceiling grid, it combines an 8-inch coaxial driver, Audinate Dante transport, and an integrated PoE amplifier into a single factory-assembled unit — eliminating the need for a separate amplifier rack in smaller zones. This makes it especially well-suited for corporate offices, hospitality spaces, houses of worship, retail environments, and educational facilities where clean infrastructure and simplified cabling are priorities.
Unlike passive ceiling tile speakers that require dedicated amp channels, the DA-22SYS draws power and audio signal over a single Cat cable via IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or 802.3af PoE, scaling amplifier output based on available power. Dante integration means audio routing is handled entirely over the IP network, enabling flexible zone management without running dedicated analog infrastructure. The secondary amplifier output allows a paired passive 8-ohm speaker to extend coverage in larger zones without adding hardware.
System commissioning and ongoing tuning are handled through AtlasIED's IP Discovery and Control software, which supports individual speaker addressing, location tagging, group-based EQ adjustments, and an audible ping-me locator for physical identification during install. Input EQ, level control, and masking with room tuning EQ give integrators the tools to optimize intelligibility and coverage per zone without external processing gear.
