The AtlasIED DA-PM8GD-B is an 8" indoor pendant-mount amplified loudspeaker designed for AV integrators deploying networked audio in commercial, hospitality, or corporate environments. Powered entirely over a single Cat cable via IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or 802.3af PoE, it eliminates separate power runs while delivering up to 15 watts RMS in single-channel mode. Audinate Dante integration means the speaker drops directly into any Dante-enabled audio infrastructure without additional interface hardware.
System configuration and tuning are handled through the AtlasIED IP Discovery and Control software, which supports individual speaker addressing, custom location tags, group-based EQ adjustments, and an audible ping-me locator for fast physical identification during commissioning. Input EQ, level control, and masking with room tuning EQ are all software-managed, making this speaker appropriate for installations where ongoing remote tuning is a requirement rather than an afterthought.
When a second coverage zone is needed, the DA-PM8GD-B can be switched to Dual mode to drive a passive PM8GD companion speaker, with independent level control per output. The top cover design conceals Ethernet terminations and suspension hardware, and the included 3-meter cable kit with self-gripping ferrule supports open-beam ceilings out of the box. Down-pipe mounting from hard ceilings is also supported using any standard 3/4" ceiling fan installation kit.
