The AtlasIED DMA-ML is a commercial-grade mic/line preamp wall plate designed for installed audio applications including restaurants, classrooms, retail spaces, presentation rooms, hotels, and multi-use facilities. It connects directly to a DMA series amplifier using a color-coded RJ45 interface over standard CAT5/6 cabling, eliminating the need for proprietary wiring and keeping installation costs low. The wall plate mounts in a standard single-gang electrical box or low-voltage ring and requires minimal clearance depth, making it practical for retrofits and new construction alike.
The onboard preamp delivers ultra-low noise performance with switchable mic or line input, phantom power for condenser microphones, a 20 dB pad, and a defeatable 120 Hz high-pass filter. A rotary detented level control and an onboard signal limiter with adjustable settings help system operators maintain consistent audio levels on the summed bus. Front-panel indicators show signal presence and limiter activity, giving installers and operators immediate status feedback without accessing rack equipment.
Up to three WTSD series wall plates can be daisy-chained on the same bus with audio summed while each device retains independent level control, which is a meaningful advantage over single-input alternatives in multi-source installed systems. Installations can reach up to 330 ft (100 meters) from the amplifier, providing the placement flexibility required in larger venues. The DMA-ML meets low-voltage electrical codes and fits within standard single-gang boxes, keeping the installation process straightforward for AV integrators.
