The AtlasIED FA138 is a premium 8" coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker designed for integrators and AV professionals specifying permanent installed audio systems in commercial, hospitality, corporate, and institutional environments. Its built-in circuit board-mounted high-pass/low-pass crossover delivers full-frequency reproduction without requiring an external crossover network, simplifying system design and reducing component count in ceiling grid installations.
The FA138 is part of AtlasIED's Strategy Series, engineered as a complete system solution. It front-loads into the acoustically matched FA97-8 Series enclosures or the economy FA95-8 Series backboxes, with rotating clamp installation requiring only a screwdriver. For limited-depth applications, the FAPR-8 plaster ring enables direct ceiling or wall mounting without an enclosure. The FA-TR8 new construction ring serves as a drywall template and location marker for pre-wire phases. Baffle grilles feature three serrated studs for tool-free push-on installation into Strategy Series enclosures.
Built around a reinforced polypropylene cone woofer with a custom butyl rubber surround, a 1.5" vented Kapton voice coil, a 21 oz. magnet, and a 0.5" mylar-dome ferrofluid tweeter, the FA138 delivers weather-resistant performance suited for covered outdoor or challenging indoor environments. UL1480 and UL2043 safety listings make it eligible for above-ceiling plenum installations where code compliance is required.
