The AtlasIED FA138T167 is a premium 8" coaxial ceiling speaker designed for commercial audio distribution in installed sound environments — including houses of worship, retail, hospitality, and corporate facilities requiring reliable 70.7V constant-voltage coverage. The factory-installed 16-watt transformer with 4, 8, and 16-watt primary taps makes it easy for integrators to balance levels across multi-zone systems without additional external components.
Built around a reinforced polypropylene cone woofer with a custom butyl rubber surround, a 1.5" vented Kapton voice coil, a 21oz. magnet, and a 0.5" mylar-dome ferrofluid-cooled tweeter, the FA138T167 delivers full-frequency performance with weather-resistant durability. A circuit board-mounted high-pass/low-pass crossover handles signal routing internally, reducing installation complexity while maintaining acoustic integrity.
Engineered for flexibility within the AtlasIED Strategy Series ecosystem, this speaker front-loads into either the FA97-8 or FA95-8 backbox enclosures or mounts directly with the FAPR-8 plaster ring in limited-depth applications. Quick-install rotating clamps require only a screwdriver, and push-on baffle grilles with serrated studs eliminate hardware during finishing. The FA-TR8 new construction ring is also available for rough-in work.
