The AtlasIED FAP42TC is engineered for commercial audio integrators who need full-range ceiling speaker performance in spaces where plenum depth is at a premium. Its shallow profile makes it viable not only in standard drop tile and drywall ceilings but also in stud wall applications common to tanning salons, retail fitting rooms, and surround sound installations — scenarios where conventional 70V ceiling speakers simply won't fit.
The FAP42TC is well-suited for distributed audio systems in restaurants, retail environments, houses of worship, healthcare facilities, and corporate spaces where consistent, even coverage across large areas is a priority. The enhanced 70.7V/100V internal transformer is designed to minimize insertion loss and preserve low-frequency response, making it a better performer at multi-tap levels than budget transformer solutions. The 4-pole Phoenix-style connector simplifies daisy-chaining, reducing labor time on multi-speaker runs.
The included C-ring/V-Rail mounting system accommodates both drop tile and existing construction drywall without additional hardware, while the optional FAP42-TR tile bridge supports new construction drywall. Press-fit grilles and pre-punched conduit knockouts further reduce installation complexity. UL 1480 listing satisfies commercial safety compliance requirements, and the five-year warranty reflects the durability expected in permanent install environments.
