The 60° narrow dispersion pattern makes it well-suited for higher mounting heights common in retail, corporate, house of worship, and hospitality environments, focusing energy where it's needed without sacrificing intelligibility at the listener plane.
The coaxial driver configuration — pairing a composite cone woofer with a coaxially mounted silk dome tweeter — ensures time-aligned, coherent sound across the frequency range, a meaningful advantage over two-way systems with physically separated drivers. The optimally tuned, ported deep-drawn galvanized steel enclosure extends low-frequency response for full-range coverage without a dedicated subwoofer in moderate SPL applications. The included 70.7V/100V transformer with front-mounted tap selector allows technicians to adjust power settings without pulling the speaker from the ceiling, reducing labor cost during commissioning or system modifications.
Installation is further simplified by the Strategy Series II dog-leg tab mounting system with a c-ring and V-rail tile bridge assembly that accommodates both drop tile and drywall ceilings. The detachable Phoenix-style four-pole locking connector supports daisy-chain wiring, and the press-fit grille with security tabs provides a clean, tamper-resistant finish that integrates with contemporary ceiling aesthetics. UL1480 listing satisfies compliance requirements for life-safety and commercial audio systems.
