AtlasIED FAP62T 6" Coaxial In-Ceiling Speaker With 70V Transformer

The AtlasIED FAP62T is engineered for integrators and AV contractors deploying distributed audio in commercial environments where reliable speech intelligibility and background music quality are non-negotiable. Its coaxial driver design — pairing a polypropylene woofer with a PEI-dome tweeter mounted coaxially — delivers wide dispersion suited to low-ceiling retail, hospitality, corporate, and house-of-worship applications. The 285 cubic inch ported, deep-drawn galvanized steel enclosure is factory-tuned to extend low-frequency reproduction without a separate subwoofer in most BGM use cases, though AtlasIED FAPSUB subwoofers can be daisy-chained directly using the included four-pole Phoenix connector.

System commissioning is streamlined by a front-mounted tap selector switch that provides access to all transformer taps — including an 8-ohm bypass — without pulling the speaker from the ceiling. The uniquely designed trap-door input panel supports through-conduit runs with both rigid and flexible conduit, a critical advantage in retrofit and new-construction commercial installs. The low-saturation 70.7V/100V transformer is internally mounted and specifically selected to minimize insertion loss and preserve low-frequency performance across all tap settings.

Mechanical installation is handled through the included C-ring and V-rail tile bridge assembly, compatible with drop-tile and drywall ceilings. Dog-leg mounting tabs simplify single-person installation, and the press-fit grille integrates cleanly into contemporary ceiling finishes. The optional FAP62-TR trim ring supports new-construction drywall staging. UL 1480 listing satisfies specification requirements for life-safety and commercial audio installations.
