The AtlasIED FAP62T-UL2043 is engineered for installed sound professionals who need a compliant, high-performance ceiling speaker in plenum-rated environments. Its UL 1480 and UL 2043 certifications make it a code-compliant solution for air-handling spaces where most standard ceiling speakers cannot be used — a critical distinction for architects, AV integrators, and contractors working on commercial installs in office buildings, healthcare facilities, and retail environments.

Designed around the AtlasIED Strategy Series II FA platform, this speaker combines a coaxially mounted 19mm PEI tweeter with a polypropylene-cone woofer and butyl rubber surround in a 285 cubic inch deep-drawn galvanized steel ported enclosure. The internal low-saturation 70.7V/100V transformer is purpose-built to minimize insertion loss and preserve low-frequency response at distributed audio tap levels — a performance advantage over competing ceiling speakers that compromise bass extension in transformer mode. The front-mounted tap selector allows system tuning and 8-ohm bypass without pulling the speaker from the ceiling, saving significant labor time during commissioning.

Installation is further simplified by the included C-ring and V-rail tile bridge assembly, which supports both drop-tile and drywall ceilings. The four-pole detachable Phoenix-style connector enables clean pre-wiring and daisy chaining to additional FAP Series speakers or AtlasIED FAPSUB subwoofers. Wide 110-degree dispersion and a compact enclosure profile make this speaker especially effective in low-ceiling commercial spaces where even coverage is difficult to achieve.
