The AtlasIED FMA44 44RU gangable rack series was developed with direct contractor input, making it a purpose-built solution for systems integrators and AV installation teams who need a scalable, code-compliant rack enclosure. Its gangable design allows multiple units to be joined in rows, serving large control rooms, AV closets, and permanent installed-sound environments where equipment density and cable organization are critical priorities.

Where generic rack enclosures leave wire management as an afterthought, the FMA44 addresses it structurally. Redesigned hat sections include rail slots and retainer holes for added rigidity and accommodate AtlasIED Channel Net lacing bars, power strips, and bus bars — keeping complex signal and power wiring organized without improvised solutions. Two pairs of adjustable 12-gauge CRS mounting rails, plated and tapped 10-32 with RU indicator markings, provide a solid, alignment-friendly foundation for heavy equipment loads across all 44 rack units.

Pre-drilled door-mount holes with factory-installed threaded inserts allow optional plexiglass, perforated steel, or solid front doors to be added after equipment is loaded — a practical advantage for phased installations. The 10RU open top section supports AtlasIED fan panels or 5000 series top panels for thermal management. A scratch-resistant textured black epoxy finish and UL2416 listing make this rack appropriate for permanent, inspected installations. Optional swing-out side panels are available separately to secure end racks in ganged configurations.
