The AtlasIED FS12T-99 is a full-range, two-way horn-loaded speaker system built for demanding permanent installations where weather resistance, pattern control, and long-throw coverage are non-negotiable. Audio engineers and AV integrators specifying stadium seating areas, outdoor amphitheaters, sports facilities, transit hubs, and large-venue paging systems will find a purpose-built tool in the FS12T-99 rather than a general-purpose box adapted for outdoor duty.
The concentric mounting of the 1" exit HF compression driver to the high-directivity waveguide, combined with the 12" cast-frame LF driver, delivers tightly controlled 90° x 90° constant-directivity coverage — critical for even SPL distribution in reverberant stadium and arena environments where pattern spread creates intelligibility problems. The integrated 70.7V transformer with taps up to 400 watts and a 4Ω bypass gives system designers flexibility across both distributed 70V infrastructure and direct low-impedance amplifier drives without external components.
Structural durability is addressed through a molded linear low-density polyethylene enclosure that resists UV degradation and physical impact while keeping weight manageable for elevated or truss-mounted rigging. The discretely rear-mounted transformer stays protected from moisture ingress, and the recessed terminal block keeps connections weather-sealed. Four eyebolt inserts and an included stainless steel U-bracket provide multiple rigging options, while the field-serviceable transducer design means maintenance teams can replace drivers on-site without removing the enclosure from its mount — a meaningful operational advantage in large installed systems.
