The AtlasIED HLE-1 is purpose-built for AV and communications installations in hazardous locations where standard loudspeaker equipment cannot be safely deployed. Targeting industrial facilities, petrochemical plants, oil refineries, and other Class 1/Groups C & D rated environments, it provides reliable high-intelligibility audio for paging, voice evacuation, and electronic signal communication in areas where combustible gases or vapors may be present.
Unlike conventional compression drivers, the HLE-1 is housed in a rugged die-cast aluminum enclosure with 1/2" conduit access, enabling clean and code-compliant hardwired installation in industrial settings. An adjustable mounting bracket provides positioning flexibility without sacrificing the structural integrity required in these environments. It is UL Listed to UL1203, giving integrators and facility engineers the documentation needed for compliance-driven projects.
The HLE-1 pairs exclusively with two UL Listed projector horns — the polycarbonate HLE_MLE-30 for wide-area 120° x 60° coverage, or the spun aluminum HLE_MLE-32 bell horn for 95° circular distribution — allowing integrators to match dispersion patterns to the specific geometry of each installation zone. A 60-month warranty backs the investment across long-cycle industrial deployments.
